OIM-100 PC Keyboarding Techniques This is an introductory course in college keyboarding designed for students with little or no keyboarding proficiency as well as those looking to upgrade or refresh their skills. Learning to type properly has never been more important. Using state-of-the-art, hands-on, self-paced software, students proceed from basic lessons through accuracy and speed-building exercises designed to prepare them for careers requiring keyboarding proficiency. Taught through BHCC’s on-line eCollege, students submit hands-on progress reports to the course instructor as they proceed through each lesson. Upon completion of this course, students will gain the skill and knowledge necessary to type accurately based on one (1) minute timings at a minimum of 20 words per minute with one (1) error or less.
