MIG-115 Interpretation I

This course covers an integrated approach to the echocardiography technique. Students view the Mayo Clinic tapes and discuss the basic anatomy, transducer positions, and patient preparation that are necessary in the performance of these examinations. Students practice their skill in a hands-on setting and relate this experience to the didactic material presented in their echo classes and on the Mayo tapes. Students discuss pathologic processes to further enhance their understanding of the echo presentation of various valvular heart diseases.
