LIT-229 Sophocles & Shakespeare Through an exploration of plays by Sophocles and Shakespeare and critical readings based on the plays, the course will focus on themes that include prophecy and free will; speaking the truth to power; defining evil; and, finally, confronting evil. This is an Honors course, which counts as an Honors requirement for students in the Commonwealth Honors Program. This course meets the General Education requirement for Creative Work.
