FPS-139 Fire Prevention Services Safety and Survival

This course provides fundamental knowledge relating to the field of fire prevention. Topics include: the history and philosophy of fire prevention; the organization and operation of a fire prevention bureau; the use and application of codes and standards; plans review; fire inspections; fire and line safety education; and fire investigation.
Prerequisites ENG-095  and ESL-098  or RDG-095 ; or ELL-103  earning a grade of C or higher.
