EMS-207 Principles of Paramedicine III This course builds upon the knowledge and skills learned in Principles of Paramedicine I & II. Topics: Pediatrics, Assessment of the Pediatric Patient, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Geriatrics, Traumatic Systems and Mechanisms of Injury, Hemorrhage and Shock, Head and Facial Trauma, Thoracic Trauma, Abdominal Trauma, and Musculoskeletal Trauma. Students will demonstrate knowledge and perform manipulative skills under the supervision of the course instructor, program director, medical director, and/or skilled preceptor. Adherence to the attendance policy and minimum final course grade of B- must be achieved in order to advance in the program. Prerequisites EMS-206 and EMS-215 Corequisites EMS-216
