ECO-220 Environmental Economics This course introduces economic approaches to problem-solving in the context of contemporary environmental issues and policies. Students learn to apply economic models to analyze energy sustainability and environmental systems in local and global contexts. Topics covered will include: environmental externalities and market failure; economic assessment of environmental damages; economics of sustainable development; cost-benefit analysis; valuation of environmental resources. Students will apply theoretical frameworks in economics to analyze policies and practices related to environmental issues including pollution control, natural resource use, and climate change. Prerequisites ENV-105 , ENV-110 , ENV-111 , ENV-113 , ENV-115 , ENV-120 , ECO-201 , OR ECO-202 earning a minimum grade of C. Gen. Ed. Course No Mass Transfer Course No Credits: 3
