COM-102 American Cinema

This course brings Hollywood film making into clear focus as an art form, as an economic force, and as a system of representation and communication. The course probes the deeper meaning of American movies through encounters with the works of famous directors such as John Ford, Howard Hawks, and Martin Scorsese. This course meets the General Education requirement for Creative Work.
