INT-299BH Learn & Earn Business and Hospitality Internship


This course supports students participating in an internship aligned with their field of study in the Business and Hospitality Pathway. Through reflective activities, students engage deeply with their internship experiences and critically analyze how the theories, concepts, and skills learned in previous coursework are applied in real-world settings. Assignments and discussions encourage students to consider the challenges, opportunities, and diverse perspectives encountered in the workplace, fostering personal and professional growth while valuing the cultural wealth each individual brings to their experiences. Students are required to complete at least 150 hours at their internship site. 
Prerequisites Business Transfer Option, A.A. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including BUS-101  (C or better)

Liberal Arts, A.A. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including ENG-111  (C or better) and one of the following: BUS-101  (C or better) or HRT-121  (C or better) or CUL-135  (C or better)

Accounting Option, A.S. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including BUS-101  (C or better)

Culinary Arts Option, A.S. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including CUL-135 ​ (C or better)

Entrepreneurship Option, A.S. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including BUS-101  (C or better)

Finance Option, A.S. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including BUS-101  (C or better)

Hospitality Management, A.S. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including HRT-121  (C or better)

Management Option, A.S. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including BUS-101  (C or better)

Sport Management Option, A.S. : 12 college-level credits taken at BHCC, including BUS-101  (C or better)
