ESL-078 Academic Reading I

In this low-intermediate course, students learn pre-reading skills, organizational styles, academic vocabulary, dictionary use, referents, critical reading, basic verb tenses and parts of speech, and how to summarize, paraphrase, and identify main ideas and supporting details. Students will learn to complete homework assignments in basic MLA format. Students must earn a C or better in order to pass the course.
