CIT-277 Health Information Networking The Health Information Networking course is a technology-focused curriculum primarily designed for students who are looking for career-oriented, entry-level healthcare focused skills that can be applied toward entry-level specialist careers in healthcare networking. The course provides students with the skills to develop an in-depth understanding of principles of practicalities needed for information technology and networking professionals wishing to specialize in healthcare network implementations. Topics include: basic information on healthcare settings, principles of security, mobility and privacy in healthcare, fundamentals of information technology in healthcare, fundamentals of electronic health records systems and electronic medical record implementations. Application of skills and concepts include designing, securing and troubleshooting a health care network.
