CIT-277 Health Information Networking


The Health Information Networking course is a technology-focused curriculum primarily designed for students who are looking for career-oriented, entry-level healthcare focused skills that can be applied toward entry-level specialist careers in healthcare networking. The course provides students with the skills to develop an in-depth understanding of principles of practicalities needed for information technology and networking professionals wishing to specialize in healthcare network implementations. Topics include: basic information on healthcare settings, principles of security, mobility and privacy in healthcare, fundamentals of information technology in healthcare, fundamentals of electronic health records systems and electronic medical record implementations.
